Virginia "Grace" Sweatman Wall, 93, former Clerk-Treasurer for the Town of Moncks Corner, passed away April 14, 2013.

Mrs. Wall was born in Moncks Corner, SC, a daughter of George A. Sweatman and Mellie Mims Sweatman.

She was an employee of the Town of Moncks Corner and the Water Works jointly for 42 years and following her retirement, worked for the Water Works an additional 20 years. Mrs. Grace touched the lives of countless individuals with her dedication and faithfulness to her Lord and Savior. Through this faithfulness, she taught Sunday School, played the piano and organ, lead the church choir, and served in various leadership roles at Wassamassaw Baptist Church.

Surviving are two daughters - Patricia Yarborough and her husband, Motte, of Saluda; Peggy Masters and her husband, Rufus, of Gastonia; three sons - Frank Wall and his wife, Betty, of Lexington; Bobby Wall and his wife, Kathy, of Moncks Corner; David Wall and his wife, Amanda, of Brewer, ME; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Wall was preceded in death by her husband, William Aiken Wall, Jr. and a son, William Aiken Wall III.

Her funeral service will be held at Wassamassaw Baptist Church Wednesday morning, April 17, 2013, at
11 o'clock. Burial will follow in the church cemetery directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner. The family will receive friends at RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL Tuesday evening, April 16, 2013 between 5 and 7 o'clock.
