Geanwood Smith Watson

Geanwood Smith Watson, 90, of Moncks Corner, retired florist, died Tuesday, August 2, 2011, in a Charleston hospital.

She was born July 19, 1921, in Socastee, the daughter of Mack Daniel Smith and Ethel Dusenbury Smith.

Mrs. Watson was a member of First Baptist Church of Moncks Corner.

Surviving are her daughter – Maxine T. Edwards and her husband, Jim, of Pinopolis; a son – Carl Tompkins and his wife, Judy, of Gilbert; 4 grandchildren – Carole Edwards and her husband, Michael Bayless of Pinopolis; Sarah Kemp and her husband, Martin, of Moncks Corner; Alan Tompkins of Gilbert; Ashley Tompkins of Batesburg/Leesville; and a great grandchild – Brant Bayless. She was predeceased by a grandson – Dave Edwards.

Her funeral service was held in RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner August 6, 2011. Interment followed in Berkeley Memorial Gardens.
