Gale Franklyn Mole, 72, of Moncks Corner, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2019.
Gale was born November 26, 1946 in Walterboro, S.C., a son of William H. Mole and Margaret Kinard Mole. He had graduated from St. Stephen High School and Pembroke University of North Carolina.
Gale was employed by Soil Consultants Inc. as a NDT manager. He was a member of American Welding Society and previously held the position of Chairman. Being an avid Corvette lover, he attended car shows almost every Saturday, especially enjoying Cars and Coffee. Other hobbies included watching racing, baseball and football, with his favorite teams being the New York Yankees and Carolina Gamecocks, admiring Daylilies in the garden and reading books.
He will be remembered for his love of talking, occasionally telling a corny joke or two. Gale truly loved his family and was a firm believer in God.
Surviving are his wife, of 48 years, Sandra Robbins Mole; a daughter- Melinda Gail Mole, of New York, N.Y.; a sister- Joyce Martin, of Jedburg; nephew- Trey Cox, of Jedburg; sisters-in-law- Susan Miller, of Sun City, A.Z., Dianne Smith, of Sunset, S.C. and Denise Sprankle, of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.. In addition to his parents, Gale is predeceased by a brother-Travis Mole.
Gale’s funeral service will be held at Russell Funeral Chapel, Moncks Corner, Monday morning, July 8, 2019, at 11 o’clock. The family will receive friends at the chapel for one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 o’clock.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
