Fritz Benjamin Hood, Jr.

Fritz Benjamin Hood, Jr., 78, of Bonneau, husband of Edna Magliola Hood, died
Friday morning, October 2, 2009, at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston.


Mr. Hood was born August 23, 1931, in Berkeley County, a son of Fritz Benjamin
Hood, Sr., and Marion Guerry Hood.


He was a 1949 graduate of Macedonia High School. Mr. Hood served in the U.S. Air Force
and had been an employee of Santee Cooper for 10 years prior to opening Hood
Auto Parts in Moncks Corner, 42 years ago. He was a member of American Legion
Post 126.


Surviving in addition to his wife, are 2 sons - Fritz B. Hood III and his wife, Vicki, of
Moncks Corner; and Bruce Hood and his wife, Deborah, of Macedonia; 2 daughters -
Donna H. Gueldner and her husband, Karl, of Charleston; and Kay H. Meadows and her
husband, Jim, of Fort Mill, S.C.; 4 sisters - Eloise Judy of Macedonia; Pauline
Villeponteaux of Cordesville; Aileen Welch of Macedonia; and Barbara Dangerfield of
Cordesville; 6 grandchildren - Ben Hood; Erin Hood; Christopher Hood; Brigitte Hood;
Jordan Meadows; and Abby Meadows.


Friends may call at RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner, from 5 - 7 p.m.
Saturday. His funeral service will be at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon, at Providence
Baptist Church in Macedonia. Interment will follow in Thornley Cemetery.

Building Fund, 2069 N. Hwy 17A, Moncks Corner, S. C. 29461, in memory of Fritz
B. Hood, Jr.
