Frank Johns, 80, of Moncks Corner, passed away Saturday evening, January 22, 2022.
Frank was born January 11, 1942, in Falls Church, Virginia, son of Frank Grover and Evelyn Frances Bratten. He was predeceased by two sisters, Lyndall J. Halsley and Joanne T. Knowles, and one brother, Richard L. Johns.
Frank was deeply involved in the theatre to include the Hayloft Dinner Theatre in Virginia, and served as Production Director from December 1971 – February 1972. Production credits include: “Under the Yum-Yum Tree”; “The Girl in the Freudian Slip”; and “Cabaret”. He went on to serve his country as a civil servant for the U. S. Army in the MWR working in Alaska and Belgium as an Executive Officer. He transferred to Charleston as the Chief of Staff for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to finish out his career.
At Frank's request, there will be no funeral or memorial service immediately planned. In lieu of this, please take a moment to remember your relationship with Frank with a moment of silence and/or donate in his name to his charity of choice, the Shriner's Hospital for Children.
