Frank James Conrad, Sr., 84, of Bonneau, retired chemist, first married to the late Marie Conrad and husband of Ernestine Huxford Conrad, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016.
Frank was born December 7, 1931, in Goodman, Missouri, a son of Fred Conrad and Eunice Murray Conrad and the step son of Mr. H. Frock.
As a devoted Christian, Frank loved the Lord and served Him as President and Director of the New Mexico Christian Evangelistic Association. He also participated with World Mission Builders out of Miami, Oklahoma, building worship facilities.
Frank served his country as a member of the Navy National Guard.
While working as a chemist at Sandia National Labs, Frank was very proud to be a member of the team that holds the patent on the Full Body Scanner in airports all around world.
Frank had been an active member of Russellville Christian Church where he had served as an elder and sang in the choir.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons- Frank Conrad, Jr. and his wife, Karen; Murray Conrad and his wife, Julie; Matthew Conrad and his wife, Leslie, all of Albuquerque, New Mexico; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
His memorial service will be held at Russellville Christian Church, Friday morning, June 24, 2016, at 11 o’clock.
