Frances Stevens Clearman, flew with the angels on October 18, 2015 at 3:15 p.m., from the loving arms of her children. She was 90 years old.
Frances was born November 23, 1924, in Weeks Arkansas, a daughter of Lee Stevens and Mattie Clement Stevens.
She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, was an artist that painted beautiful oil and acrylic paintings. She also enjoyed creating beautiful ceramic pieces and crochet. Fran was an avid gardener, who enjoyed growing flowers of all kinds. Her love of playing cards was well-known and she was a remarkable card player. She was a wonderful cook, with the family’s favorite being her chipped-beef and milk gravy on biscuits. Before Fran retired, she was a Tupperware Manager. With her friendly, warm, fun loving personality, many people in the surrounding area looked forward to her parties. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. The world lost a heart of gold.
Surviving are four sons- Harmon Edward Nixon of Alvin; James Ray Nixon and his wife, Malinda, of Herndon, Ky.; Wallace Ray Clearman, Jr. and his wife, Jeannine, of Goose Creek; Steven Clearman and his wife, Melany, of Savannah, Ga.; one daughter- Ola Clearman Peters of Benecia, California; 20 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and 4 great- great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son David Ronnie Clearman.
Her graveside service will be held in Hood’s Chapel Cemetery in Macedonia Saturday afternoon, October 24, 2015, at 3 o’clock. The family will receive friends at RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 1 to 2 o’clock.
