Fleetwood Leon Fleming

May 8, 1926 — February 7, 2010

Fleetwood Leon Fleming, 83, husband of Bonnie Whitlock Fleming, died on Sunday, February 07, 2010, at
Unihealth Post-Acute Care, in Moncks Corner.

Mr. Fleming was born May 8, 1926, in Clarendon County, the son of Fleetwood Leon Fleming and Minnie Sims
Fleming.

He was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Moncks Corner, where he had served as a
Deacon and a Sunday School Leader. He was a graduate of Berkeley High School and had served in the
U.S. Navy during World War II. He owned and operated the Moncks Corner Western Auto Store for many
Years and later retired from Liberty National Life Insurance Company . He was a member of the American
Legion for 63 years, having served as a past Commander.

Mr. Fleming is survived by his wife of 52 years, Bonnie W. Fleming; his daughter – Linda Fleming
Lamprecht and her husband, Scott, of Moncks Corner; his son – Lee Fleming and his wife, Cindy, of
Mt. Pleasant; four grandchildren – Fleetwood Fleming; Margaret Fleming, Caroline Lamprecht and
Robert Lamprecht; two sisters – Sarah Wells Thompson of Bonneau, SC; and Leola F. Mullis of
Charlotte, NC; his brother – Ben Fleming and his wife, Patty, of Moncks Corner, and many nieces
And nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Dewey Fleming.

His funeral service will be held at 11 o’clock Tuesday morning, February 9, 2010, in the First Baptist
Church of Moncks Corner. Burial will follow in Biggin Cemetery. Friends may call at RUSSELL FUNERAL
CHAPEL, Moncks Corner, between 5 and 7 o’clock Monday evening, February 8.
