Fannie Belle Cooper Gaskins

Fannie Belle Cooper Gaskins, 80, of Macedonia, a retired teacher’s assistant at Bonner Elementary School, wife of Alton Hugh Gaskins, Sr., passed away Monday morning, March 21, 2016.

Mrs. Fannie Belle was born December 31, 1935, in Williamsburg County, a daughter of Thomas Alex Cooper and Fannie Virginia Browder Cooper.

She was a loving wife of 60 years, a wonderful Mom, “Mama”, and Great-Grandma. She loved her family and spending time together. Mrs. Fannie Belle was an active member of Oak Grove PH Church and had a love for all children.

Surviving in addition to her husband, are three sons- Hugh Gaskins, Jr., and his wife, Margie, of Macedonia; Steve Gaskins and his wife, Lori, of Macedonia; David Gaskins and his wife, Renee, of Macedonia; one daughter- Vickie Gaskins Dawson of Macedonia; two brothers- Tom Cooper and his wife, Sarah, of Savannah; Phil Cooper and his wife, Nancy, of Florence; three sisters- Eloise Willard of Columbia; Diane Harrelson and her husband, Jerry, of Rock Hill; Cathy Graham and her husband Garrett, of Suttons; eleven grandchildren- Ashley Branch; Andrea Carlton and her husband, Robert; Amanda Strong and her husband, Brandon; Megan Bilton and her husband, Jake; Tripp Gaskins; Bryan Gaskins; David Wadford; Phillip Gaskins; Jeffrey Gaskins; Victoria Dawson; Hayden Dawson; seven great grandchildren-Saxon Carlton; Mason Gaskins; Lorelai Branch; Avery Gaskins; Anna Grace Gaskins; Cameron Strong and Jacob Bilton.

Her funeral service will be held at Oak Grove PH Church in Macedonia, Wednesday morning, March 23, 2016, at 11 o’clock. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL Tuesday evening, March 22, 2016 from 5 to 7 o’clock.
