Ethel Cross Langley, 88, of Moncks Corner, widow of James T. Langley, died
Tuesday, December 29, 2009, in a Moncks Corner nursing home.
Mrs. Langley was born August 9, 1921, in Cross, the daughter of Charlie C. Cross, Sr.,
and Caroline Grooms Cross. She was the former co-owner of Moncks Corner Dry
Cleaners and retired as an Administrative Assistant with the Berkeley County
School System.
She was a member of Moncks Corner United Methodist Church and of the
Moncks Corner Book Club.
Surviving are a brother: Memminger Cross; seven nieces and nephews:
Priscilla C. West; Susan Smith; Don Miller; Bill Cross; Lionel Cross;
Barbara Haynes and Betsy Hopstein; and a number of great nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be in Friendship United Methodist Church in Cross,
Friday morning, January 1, 2010, at 11 o'clock. Interment will follow in the
church cemetery directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner.
Friends may call at the church from 10 A.M. until the hour of service Friday
morning.
