Estelle Dehay Haselton

Estelle DeHay Haselton, 91, of Moncks Corner, widow of Walter C. Haselton, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018.

Estelle was born August 2, 1926, in Berkeley County, daughter of David McCants DeHay and Marguerite Todd DeHay.

Surviving are two daughters- Rene Moorer and her husband, Larry, of Summerville; and Ruth Haselton of Moncks Corner: a son - David Haselton and his wife, Becky, of Moncks Corner; four sisters - Jean D. Guerry of Jamestown; Patricia Fleury and her husband, Robert, of Moncks Corner; Beverly Adams of Myrtle Beach; and Hazel D. Hughes of St. Stephen; 4 grandchildren - Todd Moorer; Sidney Moorer; Kathryn Haselton and Blake Haselton; six great grandchildren - Drayton Moorer; Cooper Moorer; Sumter Moorer; Christian Moorer; Nicole Moorer; and Caison Moorer; she was predeceased by a son - Winky Haselton; and a brother - David Todd DeHay.

She was a graduate of Berkeley High School and attended Winthrop College. Estelle was an accomplished pianist, having taught piano for many years and had served as pianist for First Baptist Church. Her favorite pastime was working in her yard, and since she had been a resident at The Village of Summerville she found that she loved playing bingo.

Her funeral service will be held at St. Johns Baptist Church in Pinopolis, Friday afternoon, January 26, 2018, at 3 o'clock. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery, directed by Russell Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends at the church from 2 o'clock until the hour of service.
