Elba Bernal Parker, 84, of Moncks Corner, widow of Louis Joseph Parker, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2022.
Elba was born December 23, 1937, in Guararé, Panama, the daughter of Lino Batista and Elida Bernal.
A woman of great faith, Elba cherished her time reading the Bible and covering her entire family in prayer. Elba loved raising her grandchildren and traveling, and in her spare time, she enjoyed playing games on her tablet. She was dearly loved, and she will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her three sons- Frank Abong of Providence, RI; John Abong and his wife, Lisa of Newport, RI; Thomas Amenta of Jacksonville, FL; four daughters- Liz McGinty of Newport, RI; Ali Abong; Marie Hutson and her husband, Jack of Moncks Corner; Lori Luce of Moncks Corner; sixteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
The family will hold a private memorial service in Elba’s honor at a later date.
