Dorthea Mishoe

January 27, 1935 — October 21, 2008

MISHOE, Dorothea Dorothea Prewitt Mishoe, 73, of Moncks Corner, widow of Reverend William Mayberry Mishoe III, went home to be with her Savior Jesus Christ on October 21, 2008, passing away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate her life Thursday evening at Northside Baptist Church Fireside Hall from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Her graveside funeral service will be at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, October 24, at Carolina Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Mishoe was born January 27, 1935, at St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter of the late Joseph Lawrence Prewitt and Dorothy Ada Dallott Previtt. She filled her life by being a daughter, mother, pastor's wife, retired gift shop owner and friend to those she met through church and through work. Although she enjoyed board games with family, a classic movie with Jimmy Stewart, or a quick ride on her grandson's motorcycle, she will be best remembered for her tendency to live with enthusiasm, for her willingness to help a friend, and her devotion to her family, always centering her life around others. Active in both her church and in her backyard; playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren over the years, she will be missed by those she has left behind: her children, Renee Mishoe (Mark) Glenn, Carla Ann Mishoe and Angelina Elizabeth Mishoe, all of Moncks Corner; her grandchildren, Joseph Newman (Kerrie) Glenn, Jonathan David Glenn and Elisabeth Ashley Glenn; her great-grandchildren, Joseph Alexander Glenn and Brandon Vaughn Glenn, all of Moncks Corner; sister, Florence Sutton of Benbrook, Texas; and sister-in-law, Cornelia "Neala" Prewitt of St. Peters, MO. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kim Deboisblanc. Memorials may be made to BBN, PO Box 7300, Charlotte, NC 28241; or Northside Baptist Church Missions Fund, 7800 Northside Drive, North Charleston, SC 29420.
