Dorothy Phillips Moorer

Dorothy Phillips Moorer, 90, of Cordesville, widow of Richard P. Moorer, died Sunday, February 20, 2011, in St. Cloud, Florida.

Mrs. Moorer was born January 31, 1921, in MacBeth, S. C., the daughter of W. Prayola Phillips and Violet Dennis Phillips.

She had been a member of Berkeley Baptist Church and had attended Cordesville Baptist Church.

Surviving are her daughter – Betty Joannini and her husband, John, of St. Cloud, FL; 2 sons – Theodore W. Anderson and his wife, Janet, of Mechanicsville, VA; and John Haselden of Lexington, SC; 2 sisters –
Nettie Mae Metcalf of Macedonia; and Eva Dawson of Virginia; 6 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.

Her graveside funeral service was held in Cordesville Baptist Church Cemetery, Thursday morning,
February 24, 2011, at 11 o’clock, directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner.
