Doris Virginia McCutchen

Doris Virginia Holleman McCutchen, passed away on January 25, 2025, in Charleston, S.C., at the age of 84. Born on August 22, 1940, in Hannah, South Carolina, she was the daughter of Vincent Gilbert Holleman and Ruth Goins Holleman.

Doris was the widow Horace L. McCutchen. She is survived by her two sons, Michael McCutchen, Mitch McCutchen and his wife Dawn; her daughter, Michelle Furr and her husband Donald; and her adored grandchildren, Shelby and Camryn McCutchen, and Hannah and Jarod Furr.

Doris retired from Moncks Corner Water Works after many years. Alongside Horace, she co-owned and operated The Furniture Barn in Moncks Corner. Doris was also a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Moncks Corner, where she enjoyed serving and lending her time to visit those who could not leave their homes.

Above all, Doris treasured her role as a grandmother, taking immense pride in the accomplishments of her grandchildren.
