Donna W. Phipps

Donna Winklepleck Phipps 54, of Moncks Corner, retired store manager with Dollar General, wife of Scott Phipps, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2016.

Donna was born September 16, 1961, in Charleston, a daughter of Mr. Clayton Winklepleck and the late Sarah Mixson Winklepleck.

A graduate of Hanahan High School, Donna had a good mind for business, she held the Million Dollar Manager Award for the local Dollar General Store.

Donna loved life and laughter, spending time with her family and grandchildren brought her much happiness. She also loved her “fur babies”, she owned 4 dogs. Donna enjoyed cooking, playing games, music, shopping and fishing. Her father remembers her being able to catch fish from an early age. She was an avid Clemson Tiger fan and will be sadly missed by many.

Surviving in addition to her beloved husband of 9 years, and her father, are a daughter-Stacey Franks; a brother- Kenneth Winklepleck; a sister- Rita W. Snell; granddaughter- Sierra Franks; grandson- Tyler Strickland. She was predeceased by a special grandmother, Irene Mixson.

Her memorial service will be held at RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Saturday evening, June 25, 2016, at 6 o’clock. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:30 until the hour of service.
