Clifford Milton Laney

Clifford Milton Laney, 91, of Summerville, widower of Anne Snowden Laney, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013, at his residence.

Mr. Laney was born September 10, 1921, in Rochester, New York, the son of Hoy Wellington Laney and Laura Anderson Laney.

He was a Retired U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific.

Mr. Laney attended Wassamassaw Baptist Church; was a member of VFW Post 3433 and of the Fleet Reserve. He was the former owner of Home Repair Service in Albany, Georgia.

Surviving are two sons - Clifford "Skip" M. Laney, Jr. and his wife, Sharon, of Summerville; Joseph Don Laney and his wife, Brenda, of Summerville; a daughter - Janice Hall and her husband, Dewey, of Tennessee; 2 brothers - Raymond Laney and his wife, Shirley, of Pawley's Island; and Norman Laney and his wife, Betty, of Brockport, NY; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

His graveside funeral service will be held in Wassamassaw Baptist Church Cemetery Wednesday afternoon, April 24, 2013, at 2 o'clock. The family will receive friends at Russell Funeral Chapel, Moncks Corner, Tuesday evening, April, 23, 2013, between 6 and 8 o'clock.
