Claudius Memminger Cross

Claudius Memminger Cross, 96, of Cross, retired auto and truck repairman and a security employee of Wells Fargo passed away at his home Friday, December 14, 2012. He was the widower of Marion Locicero Cross.

Mr. Cross was born December 13, 1916, in Cross, a son of Charles C. Cross and Caroline Justine Grooms Cross.

He was a member of Friendship Methodist Church. A 1936 graduate of Cross High School, he later served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Surviving are two daughters - Barbara Haynes of Cross and Elizabeth Hopstein of Knightsville; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

There will be a graveside memorial service in honor of Mr. Cross in the Church of the Holy Family Cemetery on Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at 2 o'clock, directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, MONCKS CORNER.
