Clarence C. Hunter, Sr., 81, of Pinopolis, husband of Della Ann Metts Hunter, died Monday afternoon at a Charleston hospital.
Mr. Hunter was born June 19, 1928, at Louisville, KY, a son of Lawrence L. Hunter and Lillian Cross Hunter.
He attended Cross High School and was retired from Cockcroft Electric. He was a member of IBEW 776 and was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are 2 daughters - Brenda H. Frank and her husband, Glenn, of Moncks Corner; Mary Ann Clarke and her husband, James, of Pineville; 2 sons - Johnny Hunter and his wife, Brenda, of Pinopolis; Clarence Cecil Hunter, Jr. of Pinopolis; 4 grandchildren - Tina Clarke; Jimmy Clarke; Leslie C. Cross; Jessica Hunter; 4 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Lawrence Hunter, Jr.
Friends may call at Russell Funeral Chapel from 5 - 7 P.M. Thursday. His funeral service will be at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon at Russell Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery.
