Christopher Carl Nowels

Christopher Carl Nowels, 57, of Summerville, husband of Catherine “Cassie” Gilbreath Nowels, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018.

Christopher was born March 20, 1961 in Berkeley County, son of Mary Wilkins Nowels of San Antonio, Texas and the late Virgil Carl Nowels.

Chris was a loving husband to “Cassie”, who was his perfect partner and the love of his life. He was a political enthusiast who enjoyed watching the news and discussing global issues. He loved gardening, pets and bag pipe music. He will be sadly missed by his wife, family and friends.

Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are his children- Lisa, Jody, Steven and Sue Ellen; several grandchildren; a sister Lara Nowels Barnett and her husband, Thomas, of San Antonio, Texas; brother- Ricky Russell and his wife, Danette, of North Carolina and his uncle- William J. Wilkins.

A memorial service will be held at Russell Funeral Chapel, Sunday afternoon, March 25, 2018, at 2 o’clock. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 1 o’clock until the hour of service.
