Cheryl Gerughty Gabler, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2023, in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. Born on June 14, 1956, in San Francisco, California, Cheryl's life was marked by her unwavering love for her family, her passion for cooking, and her adventurous spirit.

Cheryl is survived by her loving parents of Great Falls, Montana, her devoted husband of Moncks Corner, and her five cherished children: John B. Clarey IV (Marty White) of Columbia; Brandon M. Clarey (Madison) of Moncks Corner; Lauren M. Clarey of Cross; Meghan C. Dorr (Grayson) of Moncks Corner; and Jonathan C. Gabler (Lillian) of Brunswick, Georgia. She also leaves behind her sisters, Denise Cummins, Jeanine Morgan, and Shannon Hanson (Jeremy), along with fourteen adored grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Cheryl was predeceased by her sister, Erin Gerughty.

Known to many as Mimi, Cheryl spent the last decade of her life caring for her grandchildren, who were the apple of her eye. Her love for them was boundless, and she found immense joy in their company. She was a beacon of warmth and love, and her home was always filled with laughter, delicious food, and endless stories.

Cheryl's passion for cooking was well-known among her family and friends. She loved to serve people with passion, and her dishes were a testament to her love for her family and friends.

An adventurer at heart, Cheryl was happiest when camping with her family and exploring the great outdoors.

Cheryl will be remembered for her selfless love for others. She had a unique ability to make everyone around her feel special and loved. She had a determined spirit and was known for her ability to plan anything with expertise. Her meticulous nature and attention to detail made her the go-to person for planning family events and gatherings.

Cheryl's passing leaves a void that cannot be filled. Her radiant smile, her infectious laughter, and her unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her.

Cheryl Gerughty Gabler lived a life full of love, adventure, and service to others. As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate a life well-lived, a life that touched so many, and a life that will continue to inspire for generations to come.

Her memorial service will be 7:00 PM Friday evening, October 6, 2023, at Russell Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends for one hour prior, from 6-7 PM.
