Charlie Claude Barrett, Sr.

BARRETT, Charlie Claude, Sr.

Charlie Claude Barrett, Sr., 88, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Moncks
Corner, retired Fabricator with General Electric, died Friday in a
Walterboro nursing home.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday morning at RUSSELL FUNERAL
CHAPEL of Moncks Corner. Interment will be in Berkeley Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Barrett was born July 3, 1920, in Chapin, S. C., a son of Charles
W. Barrett and Elvira Daily Barrett. He was a member of Wando
Pentecostal Holiness Church. Mr. Barrett served in the U. S. Navy
during World War II. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener.

Surviving are his wife Frances Causey Barrett; a son - Charlie C. Barrett,
Jr. and his special friend, Diane French of Moncks Corner; 2 daughters -
Janelle B. Gaskins of Moncks Corner; and Audrey Wilson and her husband
Jason of Moncks Corner; 2 stepsons - Jerry Causey of Huger and Herman
Causey of Wando; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and several
nieces and nephews. He was the widower of Hazel Timmons Barrett and
was predeceased by a step-son Graham Causey.

Friends may call at RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner, from
6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday Evening.
