Charles David Stewart

Charles David Stewart, 60, of Jamestown, husband of Cindy Matthews Stewart, passed away Saturday May 16, 2020.

Charles was born April 25, 1960 in Monroe, North Carolina, a son of Fred Martin Stewart and the late Edith Rachel Ross Stewart.

A retired postal worker, Charles had served his country in the US Army. He loved his family, friends and dogs and enjoyed fishing, surfing, stars and astronomy.

Surviving in addition to his wife and father are his step mother- Kaye Stewart; a daughter- Stephanie Austin and her husband, Ben, of Gastonia, NC; a granddaughter- Jameson Tuesday-Rose Felstow; two brothers- Jimmy Stewart and his wife, Angel, of NC; Ken Stewart of Beaufort; three step sons- Jason Matthews; Andrew Casey Johnson and his wife, Jessica and Jimmy Johnson. In addition to his mother, he is predeceased by a brother- Timothy Stewart and a grandson- Landon Pirate Felstow.

A memorial service will be held at Russell Funeral Chapel, Saturday May 23, 2020 at 1 o’clock.
