Charles "Bob" Harris

March 25, 1925 — May 29, 2014

Charles "Bob" Harris Sr., 89, of Moncks Corner, widower of Gwendolyn Klintworth Harris, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014, at his residence.

Mr. Harris was born March 25, 1925, in Kannapolis, N.C., son of Charles R. Harris and Odessa Blackmon Harris.

He was a U.S. Marine veteran of World War II and Korea, and a Federal Government retiree. He was a member of St. Stephen Christian Church and of St. Stephen Lions Club.

Surviving are two sons-Charles R. Harris, Jr. and his wife Karen, of Mt. Pleasant; and John K. Harris and his wife Debbie, of Mt. Pleasant; a daughter-Lisa H. Johnson and her husband Stephen, of Moncks Corner; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Richard C. Harris.

His funeral service will be held in St. Stephen Christian Church Sunday afternoon June 1, 2014, at 3 o'clock. Interment will follow in St. Stephen Episcopal Church Cemetery, directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, MONCKS CORNER. The family will receive friends at St. Stephen Christian Church for one hour prior to the service (2-3P.M.)
