Charles C. Caldwell Sr.

Charles Curtis Caldwell Sr., 86, of Moncks Corner, a retired maintenance supervisor for Santee Cooper and husband of Linda H. Caldwell, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015.

Charles was born March 12, 1929, in Hurricane County, Kentucky, son of the late Riley Caldwell and Pheobe Stallard Caldwell.

He enjoyed golf and camping. A former Boy Scout Leader, he had served as a city councilman and a judge in Goose Creek.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons-Bobby Caldwell and his wife, Leah, of Mt. Pleasant; Stephen Caldwell and his wife, Caroline, of Johns Island; Daniel Caldwell and his wife, Shannon, of Knightsville; one sister- Ruth Snyder of Gate City, Va.; three grandchildren- BJ Caldwell; Miranda Caldwell; Curtis Caldwell; and one great grandchild- Callie Caldwell. He was predeceased by a son Charles Caldwell Jr.

His funeral service will be held at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Wednesday morning, June 17, 2015, at 11 o’clock. Interment will follow in Plantation Memorial Gardens directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL. The family will receive friends at RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL Tuesday evening, June 16, 2015 between 6 and 8 o’clock.
