Charlene Linda White Thornley

Charlene Linda White Thornley, known fondly as Charlene, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2025, in her birthplace of Charleston, S.C.. She was born on July 10, 1944, to Truit Great White and Ruth Hazel Connor White.

Charlene is survived by her husband of 60 years, Leroy Hugh Thornley Jr.; her three sons, Leroy H. Thornley III, Steven G. Thornley, and Rusty A. Thornley; her grandchildren, Daniel, Abby, and Carter Thornley; and her brother, Rhett White, along with her niece, Theresa Ruth White. She was predeceased by her parents and brothers, Truit White, Homer White, and David White.

Throughout her life, Charlene embraced the role of a dedicated family caregiver and found joy in simple pleasures. An avid reader, she also had a profound love for gardening and cherished her moments on the beach.
