Carrie Cooper Kellahan

June 10, 1926 — April 15, 2016

Carrie Cooper Kellahan, 89, of Moncks Corner, a retired nurse, widow of Roscoe Dowie Kellahan, Jr., passed away Friday, April 15, 2016.

Carrie was born June 10, 1926, in Williamsburg County, a daughter of William Allen Cooper, Sr. and Carrie Belle Shirer Cooper.

She obtained a nursing degree at the age of 43 retiring from MUSC after a 24 year nursing career. Carrie enjoyed reading, cross-stitching, quilting and scrapbooking and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. She has spent years showering her family and friends with her many talents.

Surviving are a daughter- Ann Kellahan Bilton; two sons- Roscoe Dowie Kellahan III and his wife, Gail; Samuel Eugene Kellahan; 6 grandchildren-Marnie Funk and her husband, Mike; Styles Bilton and his wife, Allison; Scott Bilton and his wife, BJ; Rounette Nader and her husband, Steve; Kevin Kellahan and his wife, Shannon; Ryan Kellahan and his wife, Mariah; 6 great grandchildren-Carla Johnson and her husband, William; Sydney Blanton; Jill Funk; Daniel Bilton; Erin Kellahan and Kendall Nader.

Her funeral service will be held at RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Sunday afternoon, April 17, 2016, at 4 o’clock. Interment will follow in Biggin Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:30 until the hour of service.
