Charles Burnard Guerry, 73, of Macedonia, died Friday, January 20, 2012, at Trident Medical Center, following a battle with cancer.
Burnard born November 30, 1938, in Charleston, S.C., son of Fenner Guerry and Louise Morris Guerry.
He was a former business owner of Guerry’s Auto Supply. He attended Clemson University, served in the U.S. Air Force, and is a member of Sons of Confederate Veterans. Burnard attended Moncks Corner United Methodist Church, and he will be remembered for his love for “old cars.”
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Mitchum Guerry; two daughters, Terri-Lynn Dress and her husband, Ned, of Moncks Corner; LeAnn Coleman and her husband, Jim, of Moncks Corner; a son, Steve Guerry and his wife, Brittne, of Macedonia; five grandchildren, Joseph and Matthew Dress, Caroline Guerry, Kelly Patterson and Ashley Coleman; a great-grandson, Brady Patterson; three sisters – Nancy Litchfield; Bonnie Pinson; Lynette Foster and her husband, Jerry, all of Moncks Corner.
Burnard’s funeral service will be at Moncks Corner United Methodist Church Monday afternoon, January 23, 2012, at 3 o’clock. Interment will follow in Biggin Cemetery in Moncks Corner, directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, MONCKS CORNER. The family will receive friends at Russell Funeral Chapel, between 5 and 7 o’clock, Sunday afternoon, January 22, 2012.
