Bobby Eugene Crawford, 65, of Alvin, S.C., husband of Mary Alice Johnson
Crawford, died Saturday in a North Charleston hospital.
His funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Monday morning, January 19, at
Hood's Chapel United Methodist Church directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL
CHAPEL, Moncks Corner. Interment will be in Berkeley Grove Cemetery
in Alvin. Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. Monday until the hour
of service.
Mr. Crawford was born November 11, 1943, at Moncks Corner, a son of Benjamin
Franklin Crawford, Jr., and Mae Dupree Crawford.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are 2 brothers - Franklin Crawford III and his wife
Jeanette of Alvin; and Johnnie Wayne Crawford and his wife Norma of Alvin;
3 sisters - Patricia Shelton of Alvin; Peggy Dupree Jenkins of Alvin; and
Joyce Lewis and her husband Sheldon of Macedonia; and many nieces and
nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, JoAnne Wenningham.
Mr. Crawford attended Macedonia High School. He was an U.S. Army veteran
of Viet Nam, and retired after 30 years as a millwright with Georgia-Pacific. He
was a member of Hood's Chapel United Methodist Church. Bobby was an avid
hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed camping, cabinet making and woodworking.
Friends may call at RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL from 6 until 8 o'clock this
Sunday evening.
