Bobbie Jean Brunson Cooper, 73, of Jamestown, wife of David R. Cooper, Sr., passed away Thursday, November 24, 2011, at her residence.

Mrs. Cooper was born April 5, 1938, in Berkeley County, the daughter of William J. Brunson and Viola Bunch Brunson.

She attended Macedonia High School and retired from Oneita Knitting Mills in 1983. She was a member of Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church. Bobbie Jean was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.

Surviving in addition to her husband, are her children – Wanda Cooper and her friend, Dee of Georgetown; Roy Cooper and his wife, Jackie, of Jamestown; Norma Morris and her husband Kenny of Jamestown; four brothers – Willie Brunson; Monroe Brunson; Edward Brunson; and Oscar Brunson; two sisters – Maxine Bishop and Dorothy Hilyer; 10 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sisters – Oreather Green and Delitha Wilson.

Her funeral service will be held in Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church in Lamberttown, Saturday afternoon, November 26, 2011, at 1 o’clock. Interment will follow in New Hope United Methodist Church in Shulerville, directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner.
The family will receive friends at RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL this Friday evening, November 25, between 6 and 8 o’clock, and at the church Saturday morning from 11 o’clock until the hour of service.
