Beverly Julian Gleaton, Jr.

Beverly "Bev" Julian Gleaton, Jr., 77, of Pinopolis, husband of Janice Parker Gleaton, passed away April 4, 2018.

Bev was born December 17, 1940 in Charleston, son of the late Beverly Julian Gleaton, Sr. and Marie Louise Mellichamp Gleaton.

A graduate of Moultrie High School and Palmer College, Bev served his country in the US Air Force. He retired from a career as a Supply Systems Analyst at the Charleston Naval Shipyard.

Bev was a loving husband and devoted father and grandfather. He was a member of The Pinopolis Men's "Breakfast Club" and enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping, and tinkering in his shop. He will be sadly missed.

Surviving in addition to his wife are four daughters-Louise G. Johnson and her husband, Keith, of Myrtle Beach; Marie G. McGalliard of Myrtle Beach; Celeste C. Billington and her husband, Richard, of McClellanville; Dawn C. Micalizzi and her husband, Marc, of Mt. Pleasant; eight grandchildren- Shane Bryan Johnson; Katlyn Kathleen McGalliard; Ashlee Lorraine McGalliard; Sydney Elliott Howe; Gedney Main Howe IV and his wife, Mae; Charles Arthur Howe; Thad Marc Micalizzi and his wife, Tori; Cooper Anthony Micalizzi; two brothers- Michael P. Gleaton and his wife, Lee, of James Island and Thomas L. Gleaton and his wife, Carol, of San Bernardino, California.

His funeral service will be held at Russell Funeral Chapel, Saturday afternoon April 7, 2018 at 2 o'clock. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 1 o’clock until the hour of service.
