Betty Lillian (Phillips) Wyndham

July 24, 1942 — December 23, 2023

Macedonia

Betty Lillian Phillips Wyndham, affectionately known as Betty Lil to all who knew her, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2023, at her home in Macedonia. She was born on July 24, 1942, in Williamsburg County, the daughter of the late Cecil Phillips and Lona Lockliear Phillips.
Betty was the widow of William A. "Billy" Wyndham, whom she was married to for over 50 years.. She is survived by her son Will C. Wyndham, her daughter Janelle W. Belk, her brother Teddy Phillips, her grandchildren Alan Belk and his wife Hope, Brittney Belk, and treasured great-grandchild Avery Belk, along with many cousins who were dear to her heart.
Betty served her community with grace and hospitality as the owner of Wyndham's Beauty Wheel for over 40 years before her well-earned retirement. Her spiritual devotion was evident as a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Bonneau, where she previously taught Sunday School classes. She was also an active member of the Keen Club in Bonneau.
Her talents in sewing and gardening were surpassed only by her love for being amongst friends and family. Whether she was nurturing her plants, creating beautiful garments, or embarking on her next shopping adventure, Betty always approached life with enthusiasm and joy.
Betty's funeral service is scheduled to be held Thursday, December 28, 2023, at 1 o'clock at Russell Funeral Chapel, preceded by a visitation from 12 noon until 1 o'clock. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Berea Methodist Church Cemetery in Bethera. The family asks memorials be made to the Parkinson's Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131.
