Betty Britt Gaskins

Betty Britt Gaskins, 69, of Jamestown, widow of Maywood Gaskins, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013, in a Charleston hospital.

Betty was born August 17, 1943, in Moncks Corner, the daughter of Curly Jones and Doris Britt Craven.

She was a homemaker who devoted her life to her family and friends.

Surviving are her son – Maywood M. Gaskins (Patsy Weatherford) of Macedonia; her daughter – Betty Mixson and her husband, Ray, of Moncks Corner; a sister – Gina Britt of Cottageville; granddaughters – Misty Gaskins; Tosha Gaskins and Nikki Wise; grandsons – Elliott and Charles Watson; great grandchildren – Tori; Persaeus; Maximus; Savanna; Haley; Whitney; Elliott and Ethan. She was predeceased by a sister – Linda Craven and a grandson – Jesse McKinley Gaskins.

Her funeral service will be held in Moncks Corner Church of God, Friday morning, January 11, 2013, at 11 o’clock. Interment will follow in Halfway Creek Cemetery, directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner. The family will receive friends at RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Thursday evening, January 10, between 6 and 8 o’clock
