Amy Gaskins Stewart

Amy Deanne Gaskins Stewart, lovingly known as Amy to her family and friends, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025, in her birthplace of Moncks Corner, S.C. Amy was born to the late Edson Daniel Gaskins Jr. and Wanda Johnson Platts on April 18, 1974, and she embraced life with a spirit that lifted everyone around her.

Blessed with a love of music, Amy often enjoyed singing when she was younger. Above all her interests, Amy cherished her role as a mother and was a staunch advocate for her family, instilling love and togetherness as her greatest legacy. Her dedication to family shone through in every aspect of her life.

Amy is survived by her mother Wanda, grandmother Bessie Litchfield, son Jonathan Liebherr, daughter Jonnah Liebherr, her grandchildren Jordan, Jaxson, Joslyn, Aspen, and Autumn, and her siblings Jeffrey Gaskins, Tara Gass (Jason), Mark Gaskins, Joanna Platts, Roxanne Platts, and Toby Platts. Her life will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews Layne, Landon, Kadance, Paisley, Memphis, and many others.

Amy was preceded in death by her father, Edson Daniel Gaskins Jr., and her brother, Jarrod Gaskins. Her radiant presence and unwavering support will be profoundly missed.
