Alvin "Sonny" Litchfield

February 3, 1942 — January 7, 2017

Alvin "Al" Litchfield, 74, of Moncks Corner, U.S. Coast Guard retiree and Vietnam veteran, husband of Alice Faye Legare Litchfield, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2017.

Al “Sonny” was born February 3, 1942, in Berkeley County, son of Richard W. Litchfield and Elwood Caddell Litchfield.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a son- Kenneth A. Litchfield and his wife, Gail, of Summerville; a daughter- Belinda A. Baker of Summerville; two step-daughters- LouAnne Griffin of Mt. Pleasant; Melissa Bridges of Hiawassee, Ga.; two sisters- Joyce Davis and her husband, James, of Allendale, SC; Marilyn Peagler of Moncks Corner; six grandchildren- Robert Kirvin; Amanda Kirvin; Chase Litchfield; Carson Litchfield; Hannah Patterson and Ronin Patterson.

The service will be private; however, the family would like for you to share your condolences with them on this website.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Hospice of Charleston, 676 Wando Park Blvd., Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.
