Allene Coalson Davis, 68, of Pinopolis, wife of William E. Davis, Jr., passed away Saturday morning, September 13, 2014, at her residence.
Allene was born January 30, 1946, in Berkeley County, the daughter of Harley H. Coalson and Blanche Crawford Coalson.
A graduate of Macedonia High School, she was the retired co-owner of the Country Corner. Allene dearly loved her grandchildren and spent many special hours with them. Her favorite pastimes were watching Gamecock football, shrimping in Ace Basin and spending time at the family place at Edisto.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are a son – William E. Davis III and his wife, Donna, of Moncks Corner; a daughter – Caroline M. Davis of Pinopolis; a brother – Douglas Coalson and his wife, Connie, of Moncks Corner; a sister – Betty Hood and her husband, Ronald, of Macedonia; and two grandchildren – Bryant Davis and Mary Davis.
Her graveside funeral service will be at 1 o’clock Monday afternoon, September 15, 2014, in Black Oak Cemetery in Bonneau, directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, MONCKS CORNER. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening, September 14, 2014, between 5 and 7 o’clock.
