Albert Francis Wilson

Albert "Francis" Wilson, 72, of Bonneau, husband of Frances Spiers Wilson, passsed away at his home on Friday, September 14, 2012.

Francis was born August 28, 1940,in Bamberg, the son of Floyd A. Wilson and Lucille Cooner Wilson.

He was retired from Lockheed Aircraft and had served in theU.S. Army during the Cuban Crisis. Francis had been a coach in several Berkeley County schools - Macedonia, Berkeley, Lord Berkeley, and St. John's Christian Academy. He received the honor of being an inductee into the first Berkeley High School Athletic Hall of Fame. A member of First Baptist Church of Bonneau, he was also a member of American Legion and the Lions Club.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are a son - Albert F. Wilson, Jr., and his wife, Whitney, of Moncks Corner; three grandchildren - Madison Leigh Wilson, Miles Albert Wilson and Macy Lauren Wilson, all of Moncks Corner; two brothers - Thomas V. Wilson and his wife,June, of Moncks Corner; and Floyd Malcom Wilson and his wife, Lois, of St. Stephen.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Andrea Leigh Wilson; and a brother - Douglas Wilson.

His funeral service will be held Monday morning, September 17, 2012, at 11 o'clock, in First Baptist Church of Bonneau. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, directed by Russell Funeral Chapel of Moncks Corner. The family will receive friends at Russell Funeral Chapel, Sunday afternoon, September 16, between 5 and 7 o'clock.
